AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING

Education is a crucial element in eliminating economic and social marginalization. Our goal is to ensure that every child who comes to Homework House finds a safe, welcoming place to come after school, where they encounter friendly faces, develop supportive relationships with caring mentors, receive individualized academic support and enjoy relaxing fun activities.

Homework House’s free tutoring and mentoring programs are open to children 6-12 years old. Children ages 6-9 may only attend 3 days each week. Our  sites are located in the neighborhoods where the children live and go to school. Mondays-Thursdays are dedicated to homework assistance, and working on reading and math skills. On Fridays and during school vacations we offer fun, academically focused activities.

If you are interested in tutoring at Homework House please fill out the volunteer application here. Our Volunteer Coordinator Jasmine Myers can answer any of your questions at [email protected].
