Homework House will be opening Learning Support Pods at our sites in the Flats and at St. Paul's and we are seeking qualified individuals to staff them. The purpose of the Learning Support Pods is to provide supervision and support with remote learning, especially for children for whom remote learning is least likely to be effective or who will most greatly benefit from in-person learning environments.  Pods seek to provide a stable, supportive environment to help students thrive. Each Pod will have 10-13 children who will attend for the full school day. Hours will be 7:30/8AM-school dismissal daily or approximately 35 hours/week. These are long-term temporary non-benefited positions  beginning in late September and lasting until at least December 23, 2020. The positions can be extended until the end of the school year. Learning Support Pod Site Supervisor (2)

The Learning Support Pod Site Supervisor has primary responsibility for the day-to-day oversight and effective management of the Learning Support Pod. Pod Site Supervisors are responsible for Pod classrooms, will assist children to access and engage in remote learning provided by their school. Learning Support Pod Site Supervisors will create welcoming, safe learning environments, build positive relationships with the children, support the technology for remote learning, maintain records, and provide supervision. Learning Support Pod Assistant

The Learning Support Pod Assistant works directly with the Site Supervisor to establish the optimal learning environment in his/her learning pod.  The Assistant will assist the site supervisor in creating a welcoming, safe learning environment, build positive relationships with children and families, provide breakfast and lunch coverage and periodic support with light cleaning and sanitation routines.
